Description
The dragon is the slain Atmavictu. The Cabiri were the deities celebrated at the mysteries of Samothrace. They were held to be promoters of fertility and protectors of sailors. Friedrich Creuzer and Schelling held them to be the primal deities of Greek mythology, from which all others developed. They appear in Goetheโs Faust, part 2, Act 2, and in Jungโs fantasies during this period.
